In our efforts to continue to care for the safety and well being of all of our members, we have planned virtual District Annual Celebrations for 2021. Mark this page as the place you can get complete information about Annual Celebration plans for ALL EIGHT districts.

We all look forward to the day when we can again gather safely in person, and experience the special joy of that wonderful supportive community of United Methodist Women that is a part of every Annual Celebration!

Registration is required for these free Zoom meetings, and registration is OPEN for all eight districts. Information/downloads about each district annual celebration will be added as it becomes available. Just click on the Zoom Registration link just below the date & time for your district. District Love Offerings:

• Make an online donation using the special link for your district right here on this page. Each district has a unique link so that we can give your district credit for your gift.
• Mail a check to your District Treasurer, made payable to United Methodist Women, and designated as District Love Offering. We will share those addresses during the webinar, and you can also find them in a recent newsletter for your district on your district’s page of our website.

Voting at District Annual Celebrations:

In these extraordinary times, with our commitment to the safety and participation of our members in mind, we needed to provide a way for the necessary business of our districts (election of officers for 2022 and adoption of pledge to mission and budget for 2022) to be carried out in a virtual setting. Zoom provides that possibility, and we will be using the polling feature of Zoom to handle the necessary voting.

Very important:  In order to vote at your virtual district annual celebration, you will need to do the following:

• Register online for the Zoom Meeting that will be hosting your District Annual Celebration. You can find the registration link for the Zoom Meeting in the section for your district on our District Celebrations page at: wnccumw.org/districtcelebrations2021/. We expect to open registration no later than two weeks in advance of your district annual celebration.
• Use the unique link you receive upon registration to join the Zoom Meeting for your District Celebration…at the date & time shown.
• Log in to the Zoom Meeting using an internet connected device:
  • A computer
  • A tablet
  • A Smartphone
  • It will not be possible to vote by just dialing in like a conference call. You will have to be logged in using Zoom.

Nominations from the Floor:

While rare, the United Methodist Women bylaws allow for nominations from the floor. If you need to make a nomination from the floor, please use the “Nominations from the Floor” form specific to your district for this year’s virtual meeting and election. If you want to nominate for more than one office you must complete a form for each. As indicated on the form, “Nominations from the Floor” are due to be received by the indicated district nominations chairperson by 11:59pm, 10 days in advance of your Annual Celebration.
