Voting during Annual Celebration Business Session:
In these still extraordinary times, and with our commitment to the safety and participation of our members in mind, we needed to provide a way for the necessary business of our conference (election of officers for 2022 and adoption of pledge to mission and budget for 2022) to be carried out in a virtual setting. Zoom Meeting provides that possibility, and we will be using the polling feature of Zoom to handle the necessary voting.
In order to vote at our virtual annual celebration, you will need to do the following:
 
  • Use the unique link in the confirmation email you receive upon registration to join the Zoom Meeting for Annual Celebration…the business session will happen on Saturday, September 11th.
  • Log in to the Zoom Meeting using an internet connected device: A computer, A tablet, or A Smartphone. It will not be possible to vote by just dialing in like a conference call. You will have to be logged in using Zoom.
  • Determine if you are a voting delegate. Our standing rules describe who are eligible voting delegates. Check with your local unit president to determine who the voting delegate(s) are from your local unit.

The United Methodist Women’s bylaws allow for nominations from the floor. If you wish to make a nomination from the floor, please use the form for nominations from the floor for this year’s extraordinary virtual meeting and election. If you want to nominate for more than one office you must complete a form for each.

All nominations from the floor must be received by Sandy Letchworth, 721 Dobson Street, Kernersville, NC 27284 or sjletchworth@gmail.com using this form by 11:59pm on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.
