District Love Offerings:

• Make an online donation using the special link for your district right here on this page. Each district has a unique link so that we can give your district credit for your gift.
• Mail a check to your District Treasurer, made payable to United Methodist Women, and designated as District Love Offering. We will share those addresses during the webinar, and you can also find them in a recent newsletter for your district on your district’s page of our website.

Voting at District Annual Celebrations:

In these extraordinary times, we needed to provide a way for the necessary business of our districts (election of officers for 2021, and adoption of pledge to mission and budget for 2021) to be cared for in a virtual setting. Zoom Webinar provides that possibility, and we will be using the polling feature of Zoom to handle the necessary voting.

Very important:  In order to vote at your virtual district annual celebration, you will need to do the following:

• Register online for the Zoom Webinar that will be hosting your District Annual Celebration. You can find the registration link for the Zoom Webinar in the section for your district on our District Celebrations page at: wnccumw.org/districtcelebrations/. We expect to open registration no later than two weeks in advance of your district annual celebration.
• Using the confirmation email that you receive upon registration, you will need to use the unique link sent to you to join the Zoom Webinar for your District Celebration…at the date & time shown.
• You will need to be logged in to the Zoom Webinar using an internet connected device:
  • A computer
  • A tablet
  • A Smartphone
  • It will not be possible to vote by just dialing in like a conference call. You will have to be logged in using Zoom.

Nominations from the Floor:

While rare, the United Methodist Women bylaws allow for nominations from the floor. If you need to make a nomination from the floor, please use the “Nominations from the Floor” form specific to your district for this year’s extraordinary virtual meeting and election. If you want to nominate for more than one office you must complete a form for each. As indicated on the form, “Nominations from the Floor” are due to be received by the indicated district nominations chairperson by 11:59pm, 10 days in advance of your Annual Celebration.
