The health and safety of our members and attendees is a top priority for United Women in Faith. We all want to meet in person, and experience the special gift of sharing time together for our retreat. To do that, we all need to lean hard into doing no harm, and making efforts to keep everyone safe. With that in mind, the following COVID-19 safety measures will be in place for our retreat:

  • ALL participants are required to be fully vaccinated and up to date (boosted), and will need to provide proof of vaccination as part of our online registration. Click to see CDC Guidelines related to being fully vaccinated and up to date.
  • Masks will be required for ALL participants while inside buildings. Appropriate social distancing will be encouraged.
  • Participants agree that they will stay home if they have any symptoms of illness, have tested positive, or have a known recent exposure.
  • Online registration will include confirmation by each participate of their commitment to follow our COVID-19 Safety Measures.

Instructions to upload your proof of vaccination:

  • Take a picture of your vaccination card(s) with your phone.
  • Click the share icon (see image at right) on the bottom left of your photo and email the picture to yourself. Select the mail icon, type in your email address, and send.

Retreat Leader:

We are excited to announce that Rev. Tammy Ingram will be our retreat leader for the 2022 Spiritual Growth Retreat. Tammy is the pastor of Bass Chapel / Raleigh’s Crossroads in the Northern Piedmont District.

Pastor Tamara “Tammy” Ingram is a native of Greensboro, NC. She pursued the study of drama and theater at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and continued her education at Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury, NC where she graduated with a Master’s Degree in Divinity.

Professionally, Rev. Tammy has over 33 years of management and corporate training experience; she worked for Aetna Insurance in its Greensboro, NC and High Point, NC locations and served as the company’s local Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator and its Southeast Regional Spokesperson.

Pastor Tammy answered the call to pastoral ministry in 2014. She currently serves as Pastor of Raleigh’s Crossroads and Bass Chapel United Methodist Churches in Greensboro NC. She is elated to use her ministerial gifts to proclaim the Word of God to this body of believers. Additionally, she was recently appointed as the Convener of the Religion and Race task force within the Western North Carolina conference. She is a servant of the Lord and she is dedicated to representing Jesus Christ to the fullest, all-day, and everyday– readily serving God and the people of God.

Pastor Tammy is married to Rev. Rodvegas Ingram. They are the proud parents of 2 sons Marc (Charity) and Cameron. Their latest and proudest titles are that of MiMi and PaPa to 6 year old Katelyn, 3 year old Carmen and 5 month old Charlie.

Pastor Tammy’s favorite scripture comes from the gospel of Saint Luke 4:18-19:
“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed. To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”

We all need a break from our busy lives, a time for reflection, a time to listen for God’s guidance. We are so busy doing all the things we are called upon to do, we don’t often take the time to slow down, to sit back and think about the things that are really important. Join us to pray, to listen, to study, to fellowship with United Women in Faith from across the conference, and to spend some quiet time in reflection.

2022 RETREAT COMMITTEE:

Darlene Gardner, Chairperson;  Joanie Strohm, Lynda Morris, Nancy Reigel, Molly Welch, Carolyn Payne, Joyce Irby, Kathy Chadwell, Nancy Ward, Janet Bjork-Colton, Lisa Bacon, Lynne Gilbert
