9:30am – 5:00pm
Aldersgate United Methodist Church
1207 W. Dixon Boulevard
Shelby, North Carolina
Cost: $25.00 (covers cost of all materials)
Sponsored by Western North Carolina Conference United Methodist Women, Western North Carolina Conference United Methodist Men, and the United Methodist Women National Office. Training will be led by FaithTrust Institute. We are grateful to the Aldersgate United Methodist Women for providing lunch!
Men, women, youth and youth leaders, laity, and clergy, and ALL interested persons are invited to participate in an awareness-raising, advocacy event.
On Saturday, April 23, we have an opportunity to equip ourselves for ministry with individuals caught in violent circumstances. The goal is to create two teams within each of our districts to form domestic violence awareness/advocacy teams that will work more effectively with existing family crisis agencies in their own communities.
Use this registration form to reserve a space for each team member. If you would like to come as an individual and would be willing to serve with others in your district, you may indicate that on your form. Please return the form and $25 to cover the cost of materials by the end of February. Local units and churches are encouraged to sponsor interested UM Men, UM Women, UM Youth and youth leaders.
