Dr. Irish Spencer, President and CEO of Welfare Reform Liaison Project, a Guilford County Community Action Agency, was honored at the White House on Friday, May 1st as one of the President’s Champions for Change. The event is part of the Administration’s Employers of National Service project. Dr. Spencer was selected by the President for this honor in recognition of her tireless efforts and proven work with WRLP, a nonprofit that provides job training and local jobs placement for Guilford residents living under the federal poverty level.
